Deciding not to run tonight. My feet/ankles/heel still really hurt. If it still hurts Saturday I am going to head to the doctor.

Social anxiety won the battle.  But I made progress.  I made myself go to the Do Life 5k.  It’s a step in the right direction.  I didn’t socialize much, but that’s how I am with my anxiety.  Good run, but my ankles were hurting.  They hurt yesterday too so I iced them.  They still hurt a little today.  It’s cross training day so we’ll see how that goes.

An hour and a half until the Do Life 5k.  I’m getting nervous to meet everyone.  That’s  just my social anxiety.  I kicked its ass on Saturday and I can do it again.

Surprisingly rough Cedar Rapids morning workout.
Four miles of running, four hill repeats, a few hundred-meter sprints, and a couple miles of jogging. And the heat. 
But it’s done, and three days into the summer of accountability, I’m feeling a renewed sense of eagerness toward the whole healthy living thing.

Looks like Ben is already in town. Can’t wait for this evening.

I’m all recovered from Saturday’s run. Not sore at all. Totally ready to run another 5k.

I’m happy to report I’m not as sore as I thought I would be.  I had a bit of a sore IT band most of yesterday, but I foam rolled at it hasn’t hurt since.  I have just a little soreness in my heel, not my tendon.  So I plan on stretching and icing today.  I also wrote up my new training plan for the next 8 weeks which I will start on Monday.  I’m already swapping days since I will be running the Do Life 5k in CR on Monday which is scheduled as a rest day.  I’m getting excited for tomorrow.  It’s going to be a great day.

Congrats on a first 5k! It’s the best feeling to complete your first road race, and goals. I say try a 10k!

Run the Flood, or Freedom Fest 5K or 8K!! Congrats, hope to meet you guys on Monday!

I was thinking of doing Run the Flood.  The Freedom Fest may be too crowded for me.  I will definitely be there Monday!  It’ll be the perfect end to an awesome weekend.
